About Us

Why we do what we do

i4T Business began with a simple frustration: great tradies were spending too much time running work and not enough time doing work. Our founder, Logan Nathan, has spent decades helping service businesses modernise how they operate, especially in the trades, where the gap between “doing the job” and “running the business” is brutal.

Our goal is simple: Zero Admin, Zero Chasing and Zero Lost Enquiries.

Why we do what we do

19 hrs/week admin

Tradies don’t struggle because they can’t do the work; they struggle because the work comes with admin, quoting, scheduling, and cashflow stress. Research has found that trade business owners spend almost 19 hours a week on admin, with many turning down jobs because they’re swamped. That’s time, income, and headspace you don’t get back.

$1.1 B lost

Cashflow shouldn’t hinge on chasing. In Australia, small businesses are paid 6.4 days late on average, costing $1.1B a year in delays.

Good service businesses should be built on clarity. Clear jobs. Clear expectations. Clear accountability.

The Breaking Point

We knew we had to do something

i4T Business was born in 2017, when Logan Nathan, founder of i4T Business, met Paul Dorian, owner of P.A.D plumbing, whose team was bogged down in admin work, living the after-hours life, more than the on-the-tools life. That’s when we decided to build i4T Business to reduce noise and protect his time.

Back then, i4T Business was a basic system that fast-tracked quoting, invoicing and payments. It was only a matter of time, when we discovered that it wasn’t just plumbers and electricians, but tens of industries, and thousands of tradies, living through the same nightmare, day in, day out.

Today, we stand for workflows that make field service delivery not just more efficient, but also transparent, compliant, and safe, as the baseline for doing quality work consistently.

Our journey so far…

i4T Business is part of the broader i4T Global field service ecosystem, shaped by years of working alongside service contractors who need order in the chaos, without losing the human side of the job. Along the way, we’ve kept the same approach: listen first, build second, and stay close to the day-to-day realities of tradies and their teams, because that’s where software either helps, or gets in the way.

…Where we’re headed next

From Australia, to New Zealand and now the U.K, we see a future where tradies don’t have to choose between growth and sanity. Where systems quietly handle the busywork, teams stay aligned, and customers feel informed without you being glued to your phone. We’re building toward smarter, safer automation and clearer operational visibility, so trade businesses can scale with confidence, protect quality, and keep work sustainable for the people doing it. That’s the long game: better days on the tools, and stronger businesses behind them.
